kisses of the sun

I'm so exhausted today. I think it's just been building up from the semester and departures and then this thing with my aunt. It's like we can't catch a break. Ironic because we are on break. I thought today might be better than yesterday but it doesn't seem like it has improved.

This christmas doesn't feel like a christmas.

So Robert has decided to drive home today.

Let me tell you a bit about my family. You may have wondered my nationality at some point, and if it hasn't come up yet I'm sure the clarity is good anyway. My mom is from Mexico and my dad is from Peru. My (2) brothers were both born in Mexico. I should have been born there too... I wasn't. I was born in the White Memorial Hospital in East L.A. I used to be so proud of the fact that I was the only U.S. citizen in my family. And then my mom and brothers got theirs and by then I was just too proud to be from California. My dad never got his citizenship. Why? well, he just hasn't wanted it that bad. He's a naturalized mexican citizen... I guess since that cost him so much it's harder for him to give it up.

I was born in cali but i've lived all over. We moved out of cali at around second grade... to Kansas. From second grade through high school I lived there. As the years went by and I grew older I grew to be proud to call Kansas my home... I guess i'll continue later if you're that interested. lol
