scared?

just got back from a discussion thing i'm going to... actually i'm enjoying it. Today we talked about something that really I hadn't stopped to think about but it's just baffling. why are we so scared to let God do his will in our lives? I mean i know half the time i go asking him to do this or that but I have another plan in mind and in my heart i'm hoping he does what i want. It's so hard to come to Him and let Him change us. Why are we so scared of a God that is all about love and good for us. It doesn't make sense...
